We at Thompson’s Veterinary Center in Lake Wales, Florida, want to offer the best treatment options possible. We have a therapy laser available for use in cases to help with pain management, reducing inflammation and to increase healing.
A therapy laser uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate tissue and cause beneficial changes in the tissue. Depending on the wavelength, superficial or deep tissues are targeted. By increasing blood flow to the areas, the laser allows oxygen and nutrients for healing to enter the affected area and also helps decrease inflammation. Here at Thompson’s Veterinary Center we use the laser to aid in healing of incisions post-operatively, as well as treating arthritis and other injuries.
